Is anyone you’ve personally known an astronaut or working as military personnel? Let’s set aside those of us working for aerospace agencies. Those who are astronauts are more likely to have emphasised pursuing studies of pure science than applied science, left to be studied by ground crew which puts together space shuttles. Military personnel are those of us who meet certain physique requisites. Regardless of strategic understanding of operation and equipment, we thus witness reservation in the most exorbitant expenditure of the tax-payers earnings. Its the duty-performers part to do well enough to justify the expenditures as investment. Reservation occur through legal procedures, so they are bound by law enforcement. Its most inappropriate to emotionally lash out against the same in public. Society’s every member has moral responsibility of vigilance against misuse or abuse of privileges from reservations. During the baby-boomers generation in newly independent secular third-world country, malpractice of fake documents helped establish monopolies of public sector government undertakings like gas distribution agencies. At the date of this writing, raking such a dead issue will be an exercise in vanity. The point is, the masses have to wake-up, look-up internal strength within themselves and lead principle-centred lives. For, if like Mahabharat’s grand patriarch Bhism, one foregoes one’s privileges, then one ends up creating leg-room for complacent, worse and incompetent individuals. Bhism postponed the battle in his father’s head to later generations. But time has to answer questions just as they are raised by time. So the battle fought in Shantanu’s head is fought by the government and courts today. And those who never were vigilant to file complaints with law enforcement agencies and do court-room fights, or never became elected representatives of masses lack right to publicly crib against reservations benefactors to become anti-social state-less actors lacking commitment to their motherland. A red-Indian in America, an aborigine in Australia, and a person having Marathi as mother-tongue in Mumbai are samples of people wanting their native place to be their home-land also. If a secular government has reservation for women in law-making, irrational loan waivers reserved for farmers for the sake of winning elections, then the reservations are far more comprehensible. Whenever parents bear the child, surely they want to share their space from the living world- their mother-land and mother-tongue. Obviously bearing a child means it’ll inherit these as the medium and passage of its ancestors value system. If a reservation is available for members of victimising calamities related with practice of castes or conflicting states or natural calamities, etc. the benefactor should accept the benefits as privilege and only remember in the regard having one more duty of returning the state’s expenditure as an investment to attain exalted salvation.
The ruling alliance of government waives off the loans of farmers in agro-based economy of a third-world country! It can extend the loan, lower the interest rate to 1% to pass on the benfits of the nation’s progress to the masses. Mass connectivity and collaboration projects like intra-basin river linking are sluggishly held up. The excuse used to generate controversy over the issue is tribals will get better exposure to development which will lead to greater scrutinisation of performance of political groups of the nation. The activists might as well have invested their strength and energy in helping the worst-to-be-hit than earning publicity. Political outfits oppose appointment of defence counsel for convicted terrorist. Avoiding such law enforcement of law’s being enacted by the government raises the question how are our kin going to be the better lot? Is it by self-indulgence? When I want the voters to exercise their rights, I want the events surrounding me to make sense… If throwing shoes on politicians shows civilians’ incivility then it also reminds that we are being better than militants by our choice of acts which do the story-telling.
Pakistan has conducted nuclear tests to grow its defence capabilities. It was never intended to be a secular democracy. It always hosted radicals. And after hosting the radicals, they get empowered to keep regrouping to form terrorist organisations. India has been protecting Kashmiris from outside rule well beyond its 20 year agreement. Its necessary considering hostility in the neighbourhood. Guarding Kashmir’s border requires well-established democracy to keep troops deployed on its border. Unlike China’s socialist propoganda India offers better governance to Kashmir’s natives… And Pakistan targets all this good that Kashmir stands to gain by empowering the regrouped radicals to form terrorist outfits… How long before Pakistan’s defence forces collapse and fall prey to it’s own dellusioned policies? Since Arab Islamists entered India through Khyber Pass, the Line of Control may be said to belong to the pass itself, with seculiar peaceful forces on one side, and radical terrorists on the other. If any government has land besides this description, then its a gift and wiser rule is needed. Now, a summary of the terrorists successes: The best officials from local law enforcement agencies were killed to become martyrs. National law enforcement agencies like the Navy which guards sea and the NSG which was late to react were exposed for goofing up. These are the defence forces and inflate their egos with offensive systems they acquire from civilian taxes. Local government heads were replaced despite losing the lives of their best officers while compensating national failure! The new local government heads have enforced counter-terrorism measures over civilians. Poor equipment has been arranged on short-notice such as counters at CST which give full reading for every individual with civilian supplies as their elemental constituents are comparable to those used for making weapons. Compulsion of such equipment is making life uneasy their bringing down confidence on public amenities efficiency. Thus, progress is slowed down.
